Annual memberships in the Waitsburg Historical Society benefit the continued restoration of the Bruce House.
Waitsburg Historical Society Pioneer Fall. The festival is on the third Sunday of September, on 4th and Main Street. Starting at 11 am with Cowboy Church, followed by the Pioneer of the Year award at noon. Enjoy the sounds of live music including the fun and unique songs of historic Bluegrass music, plus other live music from talented artists in the areas. Treat yourself to a delicious Buffalo burger with all the fixins’ and for dessert there’s a wide variety of mouth-watering pies from the Laurette McCaw Pie-oneer Pie Baking Contest. Admire the classic antique cars, watch the Vintage Style Show, play at one of the Corn Hole Toss games, take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage and see how history was made with traditional pioneer crafts and FREE museum tours.
PUBLIC ARTWORK
Visit Main Street Waitsburg and stop to play a game or snap a picture with our beautiful bronze sculptures. Get game pieces at Weller Public Library to play "The Waitsburg Story" (artist Wayne Chabre) with Fannie Weller. Then cross the street to pose with the City's founding fathers in "The Waitsburg Trilogy" (artist Jeffrey Hill) located in front of City Hall, and meander down further to see "The Waitsburg Monument" (artist Squire Broel) that features markings made by our Waitsburg kids and community members!

Our city park is the perfect place to take a break and relax. Cool off under the lush canopy of trees, have fun on the playground, or take advantage of the BBQ grills for the perfect picnic. If you listen closely, you might even hear the hooting of our resident owls. Dogs are welcome, provided that they are on leash and any waste is bagged and disposed of in the trash. The park is conveniently located on Highway 12, and just a block from historic Main Street.

This Touchet River park features numerous campsites, picnic areas, shelters and trails, and an amphitheater. Fishing, hiking and camping are popular activities here. Park Rangers offer talks/reenactments on Lewis & Clark, local natives, trappers, regional plants and pioneers every summer. Located 3 miles east of Waitsburg.
